Jerk Salmon Pasta
Happy New Year! I hope everyone had an amazing holiday season. I enjoyed some quality time with my family in my hometown, and now I’m back with another delicious salmon recipe to share. This is my second time making this dish, but this time, I swapped penne for linguine—and let me tell you, the switch made all the difference. The jerk salmon pairs perfectly with the linguine, and the flavors blend perfectly!
To start, I marinated the salmon in a mix of seasonings, with the Walkerswood Jerk Seasoning taking center stage. Its robust heat and depth of flavor paired perfectly with the supporting cast of garlic powder, cajun seasoning, chili powder, onion powder, blackened seasoning, and a touch of old bay. While marinating is optional, I let the salmon soak up the goodness for about 30 minutes to let the jerk spices infuse every bite.
Cooking with this jerk seasoning was effortless. As the salmon seared in the pan, the seasoning created a beautifully caramelized crust, locking in the moisture and delivering a smoky, spicy essence. The key with Walkerswood—and any jerk seasoning—is balance. Its heat is intense but not overwhelming, allowing the other flavors in the dish to shine through.
The real magic happened when I incorporated the salmon into a creamy pasta sauce. A quick sauté of bell peppers and onions set the stage, followed by the addition of heavy cream and another dash of Walkerswood. The result? A luscious, spiced sauce that perfectly coated the pasta, harmonizing with the jerk salmon’s boldness.
Jerk Seasoning for Jerk Salmon Pasta
The main ingredient I used was the Walkerswood Traditional Jamaican Jerk Hot & Spicy Seasoning. When it comes to adding a punch of flavor to your dishes, few things come close to the fiery, aromatic allure of Walkerswood Hot and Spicy Jerk Seasoning. For this recipe creation—a tantalizing Jerk Salmon Pasta—this seasoning became the star ingredient that elevated the dish to unforgettable heights. They also have a mild seasoning sauce if you don’t prefer hot & spicy.
