Hot & Honey Fried Chicken Wings
About Last Weekend
Hey there! I’m back with another delicious craving. I made these wings for the first time last weekend, and they turned out super bomb. I wanted to share the recipe with you all since the Super Bowl is around the corner, and this would be the perfect recipe for a Super Bowl party. If you’re a fan of chicken wings, you’re in for a treat! These Hot & Honey Fried Chicken Wings deliver the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, making them a crowd-pleaser for any occasion. Whether you’re hosting a game day party, having a family dinner, or simply treating yourself, this recipe will quickly become a favorite.
Why You’ll Love These Hot & Honey Fried Chicken Wings
- Perfect Flavor Combo: The sticky sweetness of honey paired with a kick of hot sauce creates an unforgettable taste.
- Crispy Texture: Double frying ensures a golden-brown, extra-crispy exterior.
- Easy to Make: With a straightforward process, these wings are beginner-friendly yet impressive enough for seasoned cooks.
No Flour Needed
I skipped the flour and batter entirely for these chicken wings, making the process quicker, cleaner, and just as flavorful. The key to achieving crispy and delicious wings without the extra coating is to ensure they’re thoroughly patted dry before seasoning. Removing excess moisture allows the skin to crisp up beautifully during cooking. Once dry, generously season the wings with your favorite spice blend—whether it’s a classic mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder or something bold like smoked paprika, cayenne, and dried herbs. By avoiding flour, you save time, cut down on cleanup, and let the natural flavors of the chicken and seasonings take center stage. Perfect for a no-fuss meal or a quick snack that still packs a punch!
Occasion
These Hot and Honey Chicken Wings are perfect for various occasions, but they truly shine when it comes to Super Bowl parties. The combination of heat from the hot sauce and the sweetness of honey creates a flavor explosion that will have guests coming back for more. The wings are easy to prepare, making them a hassle-free yet crowd-pleasing option for any gathering. Whether you’re hosting a watch party or bringing a dish to a friend’s place, these wings will steal the show. They also work well for game-day tailgates, casual barbecues, or even as an appetizer at a larger celebration. Their bold flavor profile and finger-food convenience make them a go-to choice for keeping guests happy while they enjoy the big game!
Hot Honey
The main ingredient I used was Berryville Hot Honey to make the sauce, and it elevated the flavors to something truly unique and irresistible. I bought it from my local grocery store, Aldi’s. Another alternative is a fan favorite, Mike’s Hot Honey. This can purchased at your local grocery store as well.

Pro Tips
- Prep Ahead: Season the wings and let them sit in the fridge until you’re ready to cook them to save time.
